Do not confuse J.W. Thasher (b. 1940) with his father, the artist W.R. Thrasher (1908-1997). Both painted similar subjects and with a similar style. The painting by J.W. Thrasher "Untitled Bid, Dogs and Bob White" auctioned at Heritage Auction Galleries May 19, 2007 and the painting by W.R. Thrasher "Pointers and Quail" auctioned at Heritage Auction Galleries January 24, 2009 illustrate this point.
