James Francis Trigg was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and is living in New Mexico.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art, Cum Laude Honors (1974), from Fort Lewis College, Durango, CO. He is primarily an oil painter, working in a representational impressionist style, en plein air and in his studio. His subjects are architecture, figure and landscapes, generally depicting
the Southwestern United States, primarily Northern New Mexico.
