James N. Trissel, Associate Professor of Art, Colorado College.
Trissel has had one-man shows at the University of Colorado Memorial Center, Boulder, and here at the Fine Arts Center. He has had recognition for his sculptured panels for bronze doors depicting scenes from Genesis, and for a triptych, "Saint Jerome and the Crucifixion."
Before coming to Colorado Springs in 1964, he served as director of the Art Extension Program, University of California, Los Angeles and taught at Beloit College, Wisconsin. He has his BA and Masters of Fine Arts from Iowa State and an additional Masters from Colorado State, Greeley......
He and his wife, Deborah have four children.
