Born in Schenectady New York and raised in Green Bay Wisconsin, Kate studied at the School of Art Institute of Chicago, also with Hugh Breckenridge, Gloucester, Massachusetts; and with Henriette Amiard Oberteuffer, Chicago, and at North Shore Arts Association, Gloucester.
In 1927 she exhibited at the Milwaukee Journal’s Gallery of Wisconsin Art. In 1928 she exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago and won the Fine Arts Building Prize. That same year she chaired a publication proj (showing 500 of 2698 characters). |
