Kenneth Zammit Tabona was born in 1956 and specializes in pen and ink and watercolor painting. Has been exhibiting regularly since 1992 and turned professional ten years later. Malta’s unique and quirky popular culture is a great inspiration; fiestas and religious occasions along with weddings and social events like Tea at Four O’Clock painted in a style that has become a recognizable and popular genre. Malta’s landscapes, especially its rocky and dramatic coastlines are frequent subjects and painted with the immediacy of the plein-air experience.
Mr Zammit Tabona has also illustrated several books including three volumes; Malta. A Collection of Tales and Narratives edited by Robert Attard and published by the Edward De Bono Foundation. He has also designed sets and costumes for opera and drama including Donizett’s Don Pasquale and Piranello’s Six Characters in search of an Author.
