A full-time employee of the Delphi Monon Railroad during most of his adulthood, Leroy Trobaugh painted landscapes and some still lifes during his free time and traveled widely for subject matter on his free railroad passes in the United States. His style ranged from Brown County American Impressionist to Regionalist, and he used vibrant, explosive colors.
Although painting was his passion and he produced nearly five-hundred canvases, he never considered himself a professional artist (showing 500 of 1620 characters). |
