Born in Orofino, Idaho, he became a Southwestern landscape painter of impressionism.
He was raised in Powell, Wyoming and graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1971 with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art. He taught in public schools for seven years and then became chair of the painting department at Northwest Community College in Powell. During 1977 and 1978, he initiated a program of art history with the Whitney Museum of Cody, Wyoming.
In 1978, he became a full-time painter, (showing 500 of 767 characters). |
