| Margery Torrey, working from her ranch near Lander, Wyoming, begins her
sculptures in the outdoors where she can observe up-close the subjects
of her wildlife sculptures. Her terra cotta and bronze sculptures
begin as sketches and small clay models that she creates while
observing the animals in their natural habitats. She is
especially interested in "dynamic tension" expressed by her subjects,
such as coyotes staring at each other intently within close
range. Torrey als (showing 500 of 2284 characters). |
