| Painter. Born in Lake Benton, MN of German parents on Dec. 29, 1897. Mrs. Toler moved to southern California in 1921. She studied with Ben Messick in Long Beach and exhibited locally. The latter part of her life was spent on the Monterey Peninsula where she continued to paint and exhibit. She died there in Pacific Grove on Nov. 11, 1981. Her work includes both abstracts and representational landscapes, still lifes, and a series of the California missions.
