Maximilian Toch (1865-1946)
He was an American chemist, art materials expert, and an authority on the use of paint in military camouflage. Born in New York on July 17, 1865, Toch earned his undergraduate degree at New York University (1886), then went on to graduate work at Columbia University. He taught chemical engineering at Cooper Union, and at the University of Beijing. He also lectured on organic chemistry at Columbia (1905-06) and the City College of New York (190 (showing 500 of 2675 characters). |
