From Denver, Michelle Torrez was raised in a working-class family and showed early art talent. She graduated from the Colorado Institute of Art in 1987 and then became an art director for an advertising agency. In 1994, she formed a mural painting company for businesses and homes, but later turned to painting for herself using subjects from her own life.
She was invited to China and Hong Kong to teach painting to women in a glass factory, and the stimulation and desire to express her emot (showing 500 of 3281 characters). |
