Sculptor. Born in Harpoot, Armenia on Feb. 16, 1888.
Toor (ne' Tooroongian) was educated at Euphrates College in Harpoot, and immigrated to the U.S. when quite young. He studied in San Francisco in 1909-13 at the Institute of Art. During WWI he was in the U.S. Army's camouflage division in Dijon, France. Following the war he returned to California and worked in other western states.
In 1923 he returned to Europe for further art study and for several years had a studio in (showing 500 of 893 characters). |
