From Mason, Texas, Rebecca Tobey, formerly a gallery director, and her
husband Gene have created modernist animals that combine elements of
abstraction and realism and have line drawings incised into the
surfaces.
Their work has ranged from small objects to a fifteen-foot bronze bear
at
the Law School of Baylor University.
In 1985, Rebecca married Gene Tobey, and they combined five children into a
