Robert Chester Thomas was born on April 19, 1924 in Wichita, Kansas. He served in
the Air Force from 1943-46. Studied with David Green in Pasadena, CA from 1946-47
and with Ossip Zadkine in Paris from 1948-49. Earned a BA from the Univ. of California,
Santa Barbara in 1951 and a MFA from the California College of Arts & Crafts in 1952.
Taught at the Univ. of California, Santa Barbara beginning in 1954. His work includes
carved, welded, and bronze cast s (showing 500 of 1699 characters). |
