The following biography was submitted by the artist.
Robert Tilbury is mainly a watercolor painter. He was born in France on March 30, 1927 of a French mother and a British father.
At the age of five he started studying drawing and watercolor in a private art school run by Frederic Chauveau in Laval, France (1932-1933/1935-1941). At the same period he also studied watercolor with Adrien Bruneau at the Art School of La Perrine, Laval, France (1940-1941). First prize in watercolor.(showing 500 of 1296 characters). |
