| | Born in Stockton, CA in 1902. Tumelty graduated from UC Berkeley in 1924 and then studied at the CCAC. During the early 1930s she taught in the public schools of Pittsburgh, PA before returning to California. Mentally ill, she committed suicide in San Francisco in 1939. Exh: Calif.
