This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| This young New York artist, still in his twenties, has only been painting as a fine artist since 1998. His first major accomplishment was winning the Best of Show at the 2001 Georgetown International Juried Fine Arts Competition.
Tristan's works focus upon a rebirth or a New American surrealism. His photo-realistic works owe a large influential debt to Salvador Dali and other early surrealists.
