| Born in Portland, ME on May 1, 1869, Stella Trask came to California in
1878 and settled in Oakland. She studied art locally at the Mark
Hopkins Institute, with Lorenzo Latimer, William Lees Judson, and
Arthur Best.
She died in Oakland on April 26, 1940.
Her painting subjects include adobes, missions, and scenes of the Monterey Peninsula.
