I remember sitting on the porch one summer under the "veranda" (as she called it) next to her with day-old doughnuts, waiting for a fox to come out of the woods and take them from our hands.  Part Passamaquoddy Indian, both she and grandfather raised six children, planted, hunted and fished with the seasons on Cape Split all their married lives.  They never owned a car, and never wanted one.  She was the wife of a lobster fisherman, and mother of six children: Harry, Allen, (showing 500 of 2860 characters).
