Takao Tanabe is a distinguished Canadian painter, printmaker,
graphic artist and educator. He has worked in several styles throughout
his long career; though, he is most famous for his large scale canvases
depicting the Alberta prairie and the British Columbia coastline.
Examples of his work are in the permanent collections of most major
Canadian Museums; and, they are frequently included in exhibitions
examining 20th century Canadian painting.
