Valfred Thelin 1934 -1989
He was born in Waterbury, Connecticut and was trained in the European apprentice tradition by his Grandfather, a muralist who came to the United States from Sweden in the late 1800s. His father Carl Valfred Thelin, a commercial artist strongly influenced his work as well. He went on to study at the Art Institute of Chicago, the University of Wisconsin, and the Art Students League of New York. He participated in seminars in Europe, worked on a one-to-one wit (showing 500 of 2443 characters). |
