| William Frederick Timmins was born in Chicago, IL on May 23, 1915. Timmins studied at the ASL and Grand Central Art School in NYC. While based in Connecticut, he made painting trips to Europe, California, and throughout the U.S. In the mid-1960s he retired to the Monterey Peninsula and continued painting at his home in Carmel. He was equally facile with oil and watercolor. Timmins died in San Francisco on Jan. 9, 1985. He was the son of artist Harry Timmins.
