William Thompson "Tom" Stephens was born in Illinois on July 6, 1913. Studying art in Illinois, and in California, he settled in the San Diego, California area sometime after the mid point of the 20th Century. He painted impressionist and abstract works in oil. He often signed his works simply "Tom", along with the completion date of the work.
Stephens exhibited his works widely in the San Diego and Southern California areas, including the San Diego Fine Art Society and San Diego Histor (showing 500 of 807 characters). |
