Biography from J. Franklin Fine Art, Inc.:
She was born in New York City on December 5, 1907 and in 1982 was living at 2340 West Viewmont Way, Seattle. She was a painter in oils and acrylic, and also did silkscreens and monoprints.

She studied at the National Academy of Design and the Art Students League in NY. She received the prestigious Tiffany Foundation Scholarship. In the 1930's, she worked on the WPA project extensively in Boston, painting many wonderful early pictures of the inner city in the typical WPA modern style.

By the 1940's, she had moved to Seattle with her husband Irving Humber and painted bustling Pike Place Market pictures, as well as pictures of the glorious NW mountainous landscape.

She was an active member of the Women Painters of Washington and the NW Artists Gallery. She exhibited extensively in the Northwest and on the East Coast from 1937 on. She is represented in the permanent collection of the Seattle Art Museum and elsewhere.
