John Uht (1924-2010)
Born in Dayton, Ohio in 1924, he studied Fine Art at the University of Illinois. After completing his studies, he moved to New York City where he ran a teaching studio in a house boat on the Harlem River.
He moved to England in 1960 and lived in Dorset. Uht was a painter and sculptor, possibly best known for his watercolour studies of clowns and circus people. He also did figure, dancers and nude studies, as well as landscap (showing 500 of 1209 characters). |
