| | Born in Arkansas on Jan. 2, 1904. Uzzell settled in Pasadena as a child. He studied at Otis Art Institute. During the 1930s he did lithographic work for the WPA in Los Angeles and taught at Occidental College and USC. He died while vacationing in Palm Beach, FL on Sept. 13, 1955.
