| The following is from Stephen M Vajs:
Anthony F. Vajs was born 2/17/39 near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He attended Miami University of Ohio from 1957 to 1963 and was a classmate of Christopher Huntington, landscape painter of Maine.
Vajs worked in Maine in the early 1960s in York Beach, and he moved to Maine after college. He was painting on Monhegan when he was drafted. He entered the Air Force and ended up at Dow AFB near Bangor.
He worked for a printing company in Bangor. In 1965, he moved to the Belgrade Lakes region. He died in October 1979.
