This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Costa Vavagiakis is a figure artist and teacher in New York City. Vavagiakis works in graphite, charcoal and oil paint to create his classical figure drawings and paintings. His subjects are contemporary and portray the individual rather than an idealization of the figure.
Vavagiakis teaches at the Art Students League and the National Academy School of Fine Arts in New York City.
