| Born in Milan, Italy and living in New York City, Cristina Vergano does
surrealist portraits of young women with sensuous bodies who have
animal features incorporated into their images. She has a Masters
in Art History form the Universita di Genova, and much of her work is
influenced by Renaissance painting. "Text and image co-exist
comfortably in singe continuous landscape spaces with the awkwardness
of historicist pastiche. And yet she has her own highly personal
world (showing 500 of 889 characters). |
