Born in Mexico city, Baz Viaud, known for modernist figure painting, studied architecture, but his main interest was always painting.
He was a pupil of artist Manuel Rodríguez Lozano and during his lifetime was featured in group shows with artists such as David Alfaro Siqueiros and Diego Rivera.
