Fred Nelson Vance was born in Crawfordville, Indiana in l880. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago for four years, also in the Art Academy of Chicago and later in Paris for three years in the Academy Julian and for a time with Max Bohn at Etaples, France.
Returning to Indiana, he worked with his father, George Vance as a mural decorator. Among the most important pieces of his work was the decoration of the grill room to the U.S. Gra (showing 500 of 1415 characters). |
