| | Born in Germany on Aug. 1, 1883. Count Von Sabern studied art in France, Italy, and Germany. After settling in San Francisco in 1914, he established a studio in a former Chinese laundry on the Hyde Street hill. There he created busts of prominent people in bronze and marble.
