The following information is provided by Irv Fines who writes:
"My parents own a painting by Jean Viski and a small biography is on the
back of the painting. The painting was given to my grandfather ( in the Provincial Government at the time) in the 1940's or 1950's by a group from Hungary so the translation may be a bit funky.
It says:
JANOS VISKI (1891)
Was a student of the Academy of Fine Arts. First exhibited in 1921, he
specialized in naturalist animal painting (showing 500 of 1321 characters). |
