| | Born in Greenbush, WI on Dec. 4, 1870. Van Valkenburgh studied in Chicago at the AIC and American Academy of Art. He came to San Francisco for the PPIE in 1915 and opted to remain. He established a studio-home across the Bay in Piedmont where he remained until his death on Aug. 25, 1955. Exh: Berkeley League of FA, 1924 (solo); Calif.
