| | Born in Boston, MA on Dec. 26, 1869 of colonial American stock. Reginald's grandfather and great-uncles served with George Washington at Valley Forge. After moving to California in 1890, he ranched in San Diego before settling in Santa Barbara in 1911 into a home at 316 E. Los Olivos Street. In the late 1920s he established a studio in his home and studied etching with his neighbor, Edward Borein. His subjects include desert landscapes and old whaling ships. He was a resident of Santa Barbara until his death in Palo Alto, CA on Aug. 11, 1958.
