Born in Fultonham (Muskingum), Ohio, the daughter of Howard and
Catherine Van Buren Stanbery. Her studies in art were with
John H. Twachtman and also in New York and Paris. She married the
artist Albert C. Fauley in 1888. They were residents and strong
supporters of the local art scene in Columbus, Ohio the remainder of
their lives.
Her work, which for years she signed “Stanbery Van Buren” to avoid
confusion with that of her husbands, was exhibited nation (showing 500 of 1140 characters). |
