Alonzo Vincent Warren, aka: Jack A Warren was born in Crawford, Indiana in 1887. In his youth he was a newspaper illustrator and also illustrated aquatic scenes of fish and angling. In 1906 he married Dorothy Devore in Des Moines, Iowa, and along with illustrator Burt Carmichael, Burt's Sister Margarite and colleague WL Palmer, moved to New York City. After being challenged as an ill (showing 500 of 2072 characters). |
