| | Born in Casper, WY on Sept. 1, 1899. Antoinette Salathe attended the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Columbia School of Music and studied art at the AIC. When quite young she married Gustave Wiking and moved to southern California where she worked as an interior designer for hotels and theaters and as a muralist in private homes. Working in watercolor, oil, and acrylics, she created florals, landscapes, animals and architectural subjects. She lived in San Juan Capistrano until 1992 and died nearby in Antelope Valley on June 27, 1994.
