| | Born in Fergus Falls, MN on Oct. 28, 1893. Wilson moved to Los Angeles as a child. From a family of builders, he trained as an architect. After serving in WWI, he homesteaded on 320 acres in the Mojave Desert. He worked for about ten years as an architect for the family firm in Hollywood while studying printmaking and painting with Max Reno, Arthur Millier, and Millard Sheets. After moving to San Francisco in 1933, he devoted his time to art. He then painted marines and landscapes, worked in drypoint with California historical scenes as his favorite subjects, and taught etching at the Student Art Center. Most of his career was spent as an interior-furniture designer. He died in San Francisco on Dec. 1, 1966.
