Biography from AskART:
| A lighthouse keeper in the early 20th Century near South Portland,
Maine, Augustus Wilson did wildlife woodcarving that is described as
suggesting "natural duck movement, and hence having great folk art
appeal." He also did carvings of other wild animals including
tigers.
