Baje Whitethorn was born and raised on the Navajo Reservation in northeast Arizona. He inherited his artistic talent from his mother an expert rug weaver. Whitethorn began sketching horses at the age of five. He took art classes at the government boarding school and at Grand Canyon College in Phoenix but he did not pursue a career in art until later.
In 1986 Whitethorn, working in a position testing nuclear reactors, rejected an offer to relocate to Argentina and began pursuing a career (showing 500 of 1030 characters). |
