| Bertha A. Wicker was born in California in June 1863. “Bertie” was the wife of Henry J. Wicker and a resident of San Francisco by the 1880s. The couple operated a restaurant there until the earthquake in 1906 and then moved north to Sonoma. Mrs. Wicker lived there into the 1930s. She appears to have remarried after his death. She made painting trips to the Yosemite and other scenic spots of northern California.
Exhibited: San Francisco Art Ass’n, 1887.
