| Born in Canton China, Bi Wei is a painter and muralist who settled in
the United States in 1982, having studied at the Guangzhou Academy of
Fine Art. She enrolled at the Massachusetts College of Art and
graduated three years later with the Alumni Award for Leadership in
Visual Arts.
Her landscape painting is influenced by French Impressionism, and she
is noted for sunlit floral garden scenes. Her murals are in
numerous major hotels including the ceiling of the St. Regis Hotel on
Fifth Avenue in New York City.
