| Brian Wall, known for his constructivist and minimal abstract steel sculptures ranging in size from large scale to small, was born on September 5, 1931 in London, England. Wall studied at Luton College of Art and embarked on his artistic career after serving in the Royal Air Force. In 1954, he moved to St. Ives, Cornwall where he was an assistant to sculptor, Barbara Hepworth. She and the circle of artists living in St. Ives, had a major influence on the direction of Wall's work as did Cesar and (showing 500 of 2562 characters). |
