Biography from AskART:
Born in Salt Lake City, UT on April 13, 1894, Carol Caskey Weston moved with her family to Highland Park, CA in 1905.  After graduation from Pasadena High School in 1912, Carol earned a degree in art at UCLA.  During 1916-17 she was in Alaska where she hand-tinted photos for a photo shop and sketched the local scenery.  Upon returning to Huntington Park, she taught in the public schoools.

In 1919 she wed architect Joseph Weston and settled in Hollywood.  While raising a family, she continued to sketch and paint throughout her lifetime.  A trip to France in 1925 resulted in several linoleum block prints of village life there.  The Westons moved to the Monterey Peninsula in 1957 where Mrs. Weston continued sketching and painting.  She had become an expert weaver before her death at the Stanford Medical Center on May 29, 1975. The subjects of her watercolors and prints include landscapes and scenes from her travels.
