The following information was submitted in May of 2006 by the artist's husband:
An intuitive painter, Caroline Weik, constantly reworks her paintings
over extended periods of time, employing a process of erasing and
exposing multiple layers of Acrylic paint. Through her repetition of
application and surface excavation, early images and colors are
recovered and revealed like pentimenti. Her paintings, having undergone
multiple metamorphoses before reaching the (showing 500 of 2230 characters). |
