Chen Wen Hsi (Chen Wenxi) is a Singaporean artist known for his avant-garde painting style. He was born in 1906 in Baigong, Guangdong province and studied at the Xinhua College of Art in Shanghai, where he was taught by a number of famous artists including Pan Tianshou.
He left China in 1947, and has held 38 solo exhibitions in London, Beijing, Hong Kong, Melbourne and Kuala Lumpur. |
