Cushman Walker, Jr. was born in San Francisco, California in 1909. He painted nostalgic impressionist scenes of old houses, and buildings, in his native San Francisco, and in New Orleans, where he spent much time. He painted primarily in oils.
During World War II "Cush", as he was known, served in the Marine Corps. After the war he settled on the Monterey Peninsula. Walker studied at UC Berkeley, the University of Michoacan in Mexico, the McGrady School of Art In New Orleans, and with Jo (showing 500 of 879 characters). |
