| Edith Helena Mitchell Waldo was born in Vancouver, Canada on June 23, 1889. Mrs. Waldo moved to Los Angeles in 1908. After studying at the Otis Art Institute under C. P. Townsley, Roscoe Shrader, and F. Tolles Chamberlin, she worked there as an artist until her demise in Anaheim on Jan. 16, 1973. Member: Women Painters of the West.
