Edward
Charles Williams was the eldest son of Edward Williams (the British
landscape painter). He received his early training from his father, as
can readily be seen from the similarity of their works – both painting
in the same woodland style reminiscent of the early Dutch landscape
artists.
In the early 1840’s he was living at 2, London Street – close
to Dante Gabriel Rossetti and William Holman Hunt – and (showing 500 of 1737 characters). |
